Micro Culture is operating with privacy be default and privacy by design in mind. Your data is yours and yours only. μCulture only keep metadata with emotional scores on messages you sent in an anonymized way, original messages cannot be reconstructed.

Micro Culture will collect and receive information through operating the Services and Websites, and through other integrations. Such information will include Customer Data and other data (‘Other Information’) in a variety of ways:

Customer Data. Customers or individuals granted access to our Services by a Customer (‘Authorised Users’) routinely submit Customer Data (such as messages, files or other content submitted through Services accounts) to Micro Culture when using the Services.

Other Information. Micro Culture also collects, generates and/or receives the following categories of Other Information:

Slack Workspace and account information: To install or update a Micro Culture account for a Workspace, you or our Customer (e.g. your employer) supply a Workspace id, team name and token through Slack's application authorization process. Customers that purchase a paid version of the Services provide in addition the Customer can provide an email address, phone number, billing details such as credit card information, banking information and/or a billing address.

Usage information:

User data like name, email, if the user is admin or not

Services metadata. When an Authorised User interacts with the Services, metadata is generated that provides additional context about the way that an Authorised User uses the Services. For example, Micro Culture is using processing messages and texts in order to analyse and offer the Services. The messages are not forwarded to 3rd parties. These data are not stored, we only store message ids and associate them with post processed metadata. We store only the emotional footprint of messages, not the message itself. On top we collect sender and receiver information together with Slack channel and slack message id info.

Separately we store user names & settings in order to offer personalization for our Services,

Log data. As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Websites or Services and record it in log files. The log data contain information of the Slack systems and not yours.

Data Retention

Micro Culture will retain Customer Data in accordance with a Customer’s instructions (including to perform any applicable terms in the Customer Agreement and through the Customer’s use of Services functionality) and as required by applicable law. The Customer may customise its retention settings (default is one year) and, depending on the Services subscription, apply those customised settings at the Workspace level.
